Vegan Nikujaga

Ingredients

  1. Broth
  2. 3/4 Cup Dashi (200-250ml)
  3. 1/2 Tablespoon Sugar
  4. 3 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  5. 2 Tablespoon Mirin
  6. 2 Tablespoon Sake
  7. Vegetables
  8. 2 Medium-Big Potatos
  9. 2 Carrots
  10. 1 Large Onion
  11. 5 cm Piece of Daikon Raddish
  12. Other of choice or konyaku, shirataki etc

Steps

  1. Mix ingredients for the Broth in a Pot.

  2. Cut Vegetables in Chunks and put in the Pot.

  3. Bring everything to a boil and let it simmer with the lid on for about 10 minutes depending on the size of the veggies.

  4. Alternatively you can use a drop lid.

  5. Remove the lid and let simmer until most of the liquid gas evaporated.

  6. Let cool down and stir carefully right before serving.
