The Most Popular Green Pepper Beef in China
A chinese dish with American measurements
Adding starch to seal the moisture into the meat is key!
- 2 Green Bell Peppers
- 1 lb beef, cut into bite sized chunks (skirt steak pictured)
- 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, minced
- to taste Black pepper
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- After marinade
- Potato starch
- Vegetable Oil
- While stir frying
- Vegetable oil
Tear apart green peppers, removing cores and seeds.
Cut beef and place in small mixing bowl
Mix beef with marinade ingredients, wait for 20 minutes
Add 2 tbsp potato starch and stir. If some meat is uncoated, add more starch and stir. Repeat until fully coated.
Add 2 tbsp vegetable oil and stir.
Heat large pan to medium high, cover bottom with oil and add meat
Add bell peppers, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp salt. Taste and add additional salt/sugar/black pepper as desired.
