Serundeng.. a traditional Balinese dish for any and all ceremonies must have
- Onions, garlic, chile, tumeric, ginger, salt, line juice, grated coconut
Blend all except coconut. Saute
Add paste to gratef coconut.. dry fry liw geat one hour or until toasted, roasted peanuts may be added for additional texture
Serve with sambal tempe, spicy steamed spinach, tofu, fried fish, chicken or pork.. corn fritters or other spicy dishes.. thick sliced papaya or manga on plate is nice, too, for additional color.
