Quick shrimp snack

Sometimes you just want ice cold shrimp. It’s hot and we were in the pool and that just sounded really good.


  1. 6-8 colossal shrimp, frozen raw with shells on but deveined
  2. 3 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  3. 2 quart saucepan filled about halfway with water
  4. Salt and pepper to finish


  1. Prepare a second bowl of ice water to shock the shrimp in. Boil your water and add the old bay. Add the frozen shrimp and boil maybe a minute maybe a smidge more.

  2. When it reaches the shape of a ‘C’ pull it out and put directly into the ice water. Allow to cool in the ice water several minutes. Transfer to a bowl or plate. I dab with a paper towel and finish with a sprinkling of salt and pepper and a pile of cocktail sauce.
