Pesto Elephant Ears
Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry dough
- 1 egg
- 1 Tsp water
- 3 Tsp pesto sauce
Steps
Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature for 30 mins. Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix eggs and water.
For both sheets: Unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Spread half of the pesto evenly on pastry and fold toward center into a rectangle leaving 1/4″ space in center.
Cut each rectangle into 12 slices. Place cut-side down on baking sheet 2″ apart and brush with egg mixture.
Bake 12 mins or until golden.
