Pesto Elephant Ears


  1. 2 sheets puff pastry dough
  2. 1 egg
  3. 1 Tsp water
  4. 3 Tsp pesto sauce


  1. Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature for 30 mins. Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix eggs and water.

  2. For both sheets: Unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Spread half of the pesto evenly on pastry and fold toward center into a rectangle leaving 1/4″ space in center.

  3. Cut each rectangle into 12 slices. Place cut-side down on baking sheet 2″ apart and brush with egg mixture.

  4. Bake 12 mins or until golden.
