Paneer butter masala


  1. 3 tomatoes
  2. 2 onion
  3. 5 cashew & 5 almond
  4. 1 tbsp kasuri methi
  5. 1/4 tspn turmeric
  6. 1 tbsp Chilli powder (adjust according to your spice level)
  7. 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
  8. 1 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp oil
  9. 2 tbsp cream
  10. 2 tsp garam masala
  11. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  12. For the marinade
  13. 1/4 tsp turmeric
  14. 1/2 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  15. 1/4 tspn salt
  16. 0.5 lbs paneer cut into small cubes
  17. 1 tsp oil


  1. Marinade the paneer with all the ingredients under marinade and keep aside for atleast 30 mins. Soak the cashews and almonds in hot water for ten mins

  2. Add oil to the pan and sauté the paneer till it turns golden brown and keep it aside

  3. Add oil to the pan and add finely chopped onions to it once hot. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté till the onion turns brown

  4. Now add the chopped tomatoes and let it cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Let the mixture cool and then blend it to a fine paste along with soaked almonds and cashews

  6. Add butter to the pan and add the blended paste to it.

  7. Add chilli powder, coriander powder and salt according to your taste and cook for 2 mins with lid closed.

  8. Now add garam masala and paneer and let it cook on low for ten minutes

  9. Add kasuri methi and cream and cook for 2 minutes

  10. Serve it with roti or rice.
