  1. 2 large onions (cut into quarter inch wide strips)
  2. 14 anchovies
  3. 6 peeled potatoes (cut into strips)
  4. 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  5. 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
  6. 1 tablespoon butter


  1. Preheat oven to 425F (218.333C)

  2. Butter a 9 by 13 inch baking dish

  3. Spread onions evenly on bottom and place anchovies on top of the onions

  4. Place potatoes on top of the anchovies and pour in your cream

  5. Mix bread crumbs with the butter and place on top of your potatoes

  6. Place your meal onto baking sheet to catch the cream

  7. Bake in the oven until your potatoes have softened, the cream has reduced, and the dish turned golden brown. This usually takes 45 minutes
