Epic Calzone



  1. 2 1/2 cup flour
  2. 1 tsp salt
  3. 2 tsp sugar
  4. 1 1/4 dry yeast
  5. 1 cup warm water
  6. Extra virgin olive oil
  7. Stuffing ingredients
  8. Chopped yellow onions
  9. 4-6 minced garlic
  10. Chopped Chicken, beef or sausage
  11. Dill fresh
  12. Salt + black pepper + sweet pepper + cumin + sesame seeds
  13. Cheese


  1. In a large bowl mix flour salt sugar and yeast. Add water mix gently shaping a ball. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil into the bottom of the bowl, place the dough and cover with plastic wrap. Let the bowl stand in a warm place for 30 minutes until it doubles in size.

  2. Meanwhile. drizzle vegetable oil on hot frying pan. On medium heat saute chopped onions, garlic, add your choice of protein, I chose sausage. Add spices. Let cool down a bit

  3. Grease the dough ball and let it rest for 10 minutes

  4. Cut

  5. Shape

  6. Organize

  7. Add a slice of your favorite cheese before folding the dough. (❤ muenster cheese)

  8. Gently fold the dough in half then crimp edges all around.

  9. Bake 450 for 12-15 minutes
