Boneless Chicken Karahi
My husband cooks without an estimate of the ingredients. He knows it by ?. I wrote down as he cooks so I have a recipe I can follow. Love his karahis!!
Ingredients
- 5 lb boneless chicken
- 10 Roma tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons ginger and garlic paste
- 1 and a half teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder
- 3-5 teaspoons dried fenugreek
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- Coarse salt 2 teaspoon to fry in oil
- 4-6 green chilies
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
- 6-7 tbsp Desi ghee
- 1/2 piece Ginger julienne cut
Steps
Fry coarse salt in ghee. Add two and a half tablespoons of ginger and garlic paste and then add chicken
Partly fry then take out
Add ghee, tomatoes, and half glass of water then bring them to a boil
Take the skin off of tomatoes and then add all the other ingredients except ginger that’s julienne cut
Cook for 5 to 10 minutes
Add chicken and adjust taste if necessary
Garnish julienne cut ginger add kasuri methi and green chillies.
