Black beans(kaale chane)

Use of extra black beans water as soup


  1. 1 cup black beans
  2. 2 big onion
  3. 6 big red tomatoes
  4. 2 green chili
  5. Chilli flakes estimated
  6. 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  7. 1 tablespoon turmeric
  8. 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  9. 1 tablespoon red deggie mirch or red chilli powder
  10. 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  11. 1 tablespoon garam masala
  12. 1 tablespoon chana masala
  13. 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  14. 1 tablespoon curry leaves crushed
  15. Pinch hing or ASAFETIDA
  16. 2 potatoes


  1. First soak the black beans atleast for 6 hour

  2. Now turn the cooker close and have 6 to 7 whistles

  3. On the other hand in a heavy base pan add oil and roast cumin seeds+ginger+garlic

  4. Now grind the onion and add paste to roasting cumin mixture

  5. Roast onion paste until it looks golden and spread oil all around at low flame

  6. Add tomatoes paste with all the spices together

  7. Now roast this curry masala for atleast 25 minutes

  8. Now check the beans and take out the extra water.water can be use as beans soup.

  9. Add pinch of rock salt and black pepper to the soup.its really healthy

  10. Now add boiled beans to masala and peeled diced potatoes too

  11. Boil the gravy at low flame until it mix with beans properly and potatoes softened slightly

  12. Yummy healthy nutritious black beans gravy is ready
