Beef jerky teriyaki
I never liked or wanted to try beef jerky. The whole idea of eating a dried out piece of steak turned me off. I was at a local fair one day and was given a sample. Wow it was good. I said to myself how could I make this on my own. Here you go I hope you enjoy this!!!!
Ingredients
- 1-2 lbs top round steak let the butcher slice it for you
- Teaspoon onion powder
- Teaspoon garlic powder
- Teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 3/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
Steps
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl mix ingredients together well and individually add each piece of beef in mixture. Make sure all pieces of beef get coated well in mixture. Refrigerate beef mixture for 3 hrs to marinate.
Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place wire racks over the foil. Transfer beef to paper towel dry off all excess liquid from beef. Then line beef on wire racks so that they are touching one another, but dont overlay any pieces.
Bake beef in oven 3 to 4 hrs at 175 until beef is dry and leathery.
Enjoy!!!!!
