Aalo bukhara chatni (plum chatni)

This is an authentic aalo bukhara chatni recipe but with my own renovation to it ? #cookpadramadan #CookpadRamadan


  1. Dry​ ​aloo​ ​bukhara​ ​–​ ​250​ ​grams
  2. Sugar​ ​–​ ​1​ ​cup​ ​(250​ ​grams)
  3. 1 tsp Melon seeds (charmagz)
  4. Roasted​ ​cumin​ ​powder​ ​–​ ​1​ ​tsp
  5. Green​ ​cardamom​ ​–​ ​6-7
  6. Red​ ​chilly​ ​powder​ ​–​ ​½​ ​tsp
  7. Salt​ ​–​ ​½​ ​tsp​ ​or​ ​to​ ​taste
  8. Vinegar​ ​–​ ​1​ ​tbsp


  1. Wash aaloo bukhara twice with tap water and add 2 cups of water and soak it for almost 1 night. Now take a wok and add aaloo bukhara along with water add 1 cup of more water to it place it on medium flame now add sugar, cardamom, chili, salt and melon seeds give a good mix to it and then add vinegar and a pinch of red color (if you want, it’s optional) once sauce getting thick turn out the flame and let it keep a side until it’s getting cool. Now take a glass jar and place sauce in it.

  2. You can use this sauce for almost 3_4 weeks. Make your iftar more tempting..
