Weight loss: Woman sheds astounding five stone and four dress sizes with this diet plan

There are plenty of diet plans to choose from when it comes to getting into shape. One slimmer managed to shed a staggering five stone by using a healthy low carb diet plan. What did she eat?

Caroline Angus, 45, always struggled with her weight and noticed the pounds creep on over the years.

She said: “From an early age I remember my weight being a thing. I would hide food in my room and when it came to dinner time I would instinctively eat everything on my plate.

“I began to form this unhealthy relationship with food that followed me into adulthood.

“My eating habits were never balanced, I was either starving hungry or bingeing and I just couldn’t find the in-between. Even in my 40s I had a secret chocolate stash.”

After coming across some unflattering pictures, the dieter knew she had to make a change and was determined to slim down.

She added: “I hadn’t quite realised the size I’d got to until I saw a photo taken during a family day out to Madame Tussauds.”

Before slimming down, Caroline would fill up on carby foods such as buttered toast, bacon sandwiches, pasta and pizza.

She explained she would regularly snack on sweet treats, including ice cream, crisps and chocolate.

Determined to get into shape, Caroline kicked off her journey after seeing an advertisement for LighterLife. She soon signed up for her local slimming class.

Caroline said: “I was sitting in the doctor’s surgery and I saw a LighterLife magazine on the table.

“Reading how you could lose a stone in weight in just four weeks definitely peaked my interest, but it was the psychological aspect of the programme which resonated with me.

“I was so pleased there was a LighterLife Xpress meeting in Welwyn Garden City.”

By changing her diet, Caroline saw incredible results and was motivated to continued her transformation.

“In my first week I lost an impressive 8lb. For someone that always felt hungry on a diet, it was surreal to not feel those pangs on LighterLife,” she added.

“Once your body reaches ketosis you no longer crave carbs and the hunger just disappears.”

She switched carby foods for much healthier meals, including blueberry pancakes for breakfast, chicken noodles for lunch and shepherd’s pie for dinner.

As well as losing weight, she slimmed down from a size 24 to a trim 16.

She said: “Most of my life all I’ve wanted is to feel normal, to be able to shop in high street stores and cross my legs without struggling.

“And after just five months on LighterLife, I’m delighted to say I finally feel normal!

“I’m so much more confident in myself and definitely stand taller now. I can’t quite believe I’ve gone from a dress size 24 to a 16.”
