Tom Kerridge: Lose Weight for Good was on tonight for episode one in a six episode series. On the 8pm programme the chef, who has lost a huge amount of weight, shared his tips and slimmed down.
Tom took a group of dieters and began a weight loss journey with them.
He created low calorie dishes to help them slim down.
This included muffins with bananas instead of butter and sugar for a healthy option.
So how did Tom manage to lost 12 stone?
The chef created is own “dopamine diet”, boosting levels of dopamine in the body.
The hormone boosts feelings of happiness as well as helping followers to lose weight and keep it off.
Foods encouraged on the diet are unprocessed meat, dairy and dark chocolate and the diet doesn’t overly restrict what you can eat.
Other foods include eggs, nuts and omega-3 rich fish.

Tom said of his weight loss journey: “As a chef, I was grazing and snacking throughout service.
“Or I’d be eating cheese on toast and packets of crisps because they were quick and there and ready to go.”
Tom cut out quick and easy meals was key to losing weight and now enjoys spending time prepping his meals.
He makes sure to eat breakfast, one of the most important meals of the day.
He explains: “I was a big one to skip breakfast. I didn’t have any.”
Losing alcohol from his diet was a big help to the chef too.
On the podcast How To Fail With Elizabeth Day, Tom said: “I stopped [drinking] overnight, I knew it was coming – I worked up to it.
“It is an age of reflection. You do look at think, ‘OK what have I achieved, where am I going, what’s the future?’
“If you’re doing things that are excessive and you’re 30 stone and you’re massively drinking every single day you start to recognise there may become a breaking point there.”
Michael Mosley’s weight loss advice has helped many during lockdown thanks to his recent programme Lose a Stone in 21 Days.
Dr Mosley advises eating at least 70g of protein on a weight loss plan such as this one, in order to preserve and build muscle mass – as otherwise the rapid weight loss will affect your strength.
He suggested starting the day with scrambled eggs and plenty of spinach, adding that when he has it for breakfast he never craves a midday snack.
