Princess Beatrice, 33, welcomed her first baby with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38, on September 18, 2021. The royal couple named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, and the royal baby will be 11th in line to the throne. But how is the new royal mother keeping healthy?

Princess Beatrice has been known to favour a vegan diet, having hosted a lavish 31st birthday party with an entirely plant-based menu, including a dairy-free cake.

The royal offered guests a totally plant-based menu.

According to The Mail on Sunday, Beatrice enlisted the help of caterers The Admirable Crichton to create a three-course fully vegan dinner menu.

Nutritionist Gabriela Peacock helped the Princess prepare for her wedding in the Chapel Royal at St James’ Palace on July 17, 2020, which was sadly postponed due to the coronavirus crisis.

Gabriela, who Beatrice counts as a close friend, is reported to have worked with both Prince Harry and Beatrice’s sister Eugenie, so undoubtedly also had a major role in the nuptials.

The founder of GP Nutrition previously said: “I love to help my friends prepare for big occasions.

“Beatrice is one of my closest friends and we’re all very excited for her.”

Princess Beatrice’s wedding menu is thought to have had lots of plant-based options.

It is not known for sure whether Beatrice maintained a vegan diet during her pregnancy.

However, it is safe to do so with the guidance of a doctor, as long as your diet is varied and balanced providing you with all the nutrients you need to help your baby grow.

The NHS recommends making getting enough iron and vitamin B12, and making vitamin D a priority.

The Princess reportedly made the switch to veganism after moving back to London from New York.

Princess Beatrice’s royal nutritionist, Gabriela Peacock, recently shared her intermittent fasting plan and other diet tips to lose a few pounds in two weeks, which would be perfect for the Princess after just giving birth.

Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on ITV’s This Morning, Gabriela discussed the benefits to a non-consecutive three day fast and why alcohol should be minimised to two days at most if anyone is looking to boost their health.

On various fasting plans, Gabriela said: “My favourite one and most effective one is a plan called the 4:3 which you fast for three non-consecutive days and you do 500 calories for women and 600 calories for men.

“By this restriction, you make your body resilient and also we know, intermittent fasting has numerous health benefits and is very sustainable; it’s the thought of you’re restricting yourself one day but the day after you can eat what you want. It’s not two weeks of misery,” she continued.

And vegetarians and vegans can also take part in the plan: “I have nothing against meat if it’s eaten in moderation, again it’s a very good source of protein,” she told the ITV show.

“In regards to vegetarian and vegan diets, you’re increasing the vegetable intake and we know vegetables are good for us and they are very alkalising and contain lots of fibre which keeps us fuller for longer.”

Other tips Gabriela had was regarding alcohol and she said she doesn’t “restrict but reduction [of alcohol] would be beneficial”.

“Alcohol is just empty calories and empty sugars – if you can reduce completely, or one or two days per week that would be really beneficial not to get these extra calories,” she remarked.
