Rebel Wilson, 40, is the well known actress and producer known for her role as ‘Fat Amy’ in the Pitch Perfect films. Showing off her new physique, Rebel revealed that she had been exercising more but also opened up about working on her new goals and trying a new diet. The Bridesmaids and The Hustle star said she’s trying to reach her goal weight of 75kg by the end of the year.
According to People magazine, Rebel’s incredible weight loss is down to following the Mayr Method diet plan.
The Mayr Method has been around or more than 100 years with it only becoming more popular in the past couple of months.
Rather than calorie counting, the main idea behind it focuses on the gut and the foods provided to the body.
The Mayr Method isn’t considered a diet but rather a lifestyle change and it emphasises on consuming breakfast and regularly skipping dinner.
The creator of the diet Dr. Franz Xaver Mayr was said to believe that everything is connected to the gut and what we eat, or don’t eat, can affect overall health and wellbeing, including weight.
Dieters are also asked to stop snacking throughout the day, reduce dairy and gluten intake, refrain from eating raw foods in the evening as well as reducing phone usage, talking, reading, or watching television whilst eating.
The goal here is to get slimmers to focus on the food they are eating which can help them potentially feel satisfied or full sooner than they would be if they had distractions.
Possibly the most notable part of following the method is that dieters must chew foods thoroughly.

The diet programme recommends chewing each bite of food at least 40 times which again can help to consume less food, and in turn reduces overall calorie intake without dieters even realising.
It is thought that when slimmers chew more, they tend to eat less because the brain has the time to send signals to the stomach to indicate when it is full.
This causes many people to overeat and consume too many calories which can lead to weight gain.
Foods that are recommended on the method are still super healthy and include proteins, vegetables, fruits and grains.
Other healthy foods to eat are nuts and seeds – and condiments are permitted.
Aside from water, followers can drink herbal teas or fruit and vegetable juices to help provide plenty of nutrition to the body.
Pomegranate juice is allowed on the plan and this type of juice can actually help reduce visceral fat, otherwise known as belly fat.
The Mayr Method is recommended for two weeks at a time.
Rebel reportedly does workouts six days a week including HIIT exercises, mobility, weights and resistance training.
She has also been snapped going for plenty of walks and hikes, making sure she gets in at least 10,000 steps a day.
The actress recently took to Instagram to showcase her incredible weight loss.
Posting a photo hiking, the star captioned the post: “Closer each day.”
Rushing to the comments to share their opinions on Rebel’s slimmer physique, fans expressed how different she looked.
