Where was Holly Willoughby today? Well, the star appeared to have taken the day off, leaving fans asking, where is she? Luckily TV favourite Alison Hammond was on hand to step into her shoes on This Morning.

“Alison is standing in for Holly who is having a well-deserved day off,” Phillip explained.

Holly is likely spending time with her family. The hard working, high achieving TV professional is also a mum to three.

In the past the presenter has spoken out about weight loss.

She has spoken on how she feels focusing on weight is damaging.

She told The Sunday Times magazine: “It’s a personal thing for me, and I think people get obsessive with it.”

She went on: “Everybody knows what leads to a healthy lifestyle, but it’s not up to me to give you a blow-by-blow account of what I’ve eaten that day.

“It’s not helpful, and it’s not what’s important.”

Despite this there is no end to the speculation about how the TV presenter has lost weight.

OK Magazine cited a source, who claimed: “Holly is determined to keep her new-look body, so she eats chicken, carrots and hummus.

“You’ll never see her without a pack of mango either, to satisfy her sweet tooth.”

On Lorraine the presenter has previously said: “”I think you sort of get – the children are a little bit older, so I’ve got a little bit more time for myself and I’m always one of those people that if you feel happy and healthy that’s all that matters.”

It’s been claimed Holly turned to pilates among other exercises to slim down.

Pilates is especially good for postnatal women as it works on the pelvic floor.

The pelvic floor can take quite a battering during childbirth, and pilates helps strenghten the hammock-like muscle in the pelvis.

Her former instructor said: “I worked with Holly for several months, teaching her privately at her home once a week.

“Holly had postnatal matt work classes which concentrated on strengthening and toning her core.”

So what does Holly, a busy mum, cook at home?

She is a fan of making meals full of “goodness”, she told Asda Living.

This includes seafood like crab and cockles.

She discussed what she eats in a day with the publication.

Holly Willoughby’s daily diet stars with a breakfast of yoghurt, granola and berries with a strong coffee.

It’s reported she enjoys carrots and hummus as a snack, in additon to the mango she is said to carry around.
