The Cheesecake Factory Shared Their Pineapple Moscow Mule Recipe

If you think of one thing when it comes to the Cheesecake Factory, it’s probably, you know, cheesecake. But for some folks a bit more intimately acquainted with the casual dining chain and its drinks menu will tell you, the Pineapple Moscow Mule is something to celebrate.

Now, just in time for the end of pineapple drink season and the beginning of Moscow Mule season (it’s a winter thing, I swear), the Cheesecake Factory has spilled the beans on the secret to making the cocktail just the way you’d find it at their restaurant.

That’s right: Instead of leaving you completely in the dark when it comes to figuring out how to make a Moscow Mule with pineapple, the Cheesecake Factory website has laid out a handy series of step-by-step instructions that should make it easier than ever to drink like a Russian on some sort of beach vacation.

In addition to the usual vodka (your choice), ginger beer, and lime, this particular pineapple preparation calls for a few extra ingredients, namely simple syrup and pineapple juice. From there, you’re combining the vodka, pineapple juice, simple syrup, and fresh squeezed lime juice into a cocktail shaker and adding ice before shaking vigorously. At that point, you’re adding a lime wedge and the ginger beer before straining and serving.

To really sell the whole pineapple element, the Cheesecake Factory recipe further recommends quartering a pineapple and cutting it into quarter-inch “half moon” slices for the perfect garnish to complete the package here.

Restaurants sharing their recipes was certainly a big trend in the earlier days of the pandemic, back when dining in was essentially impossible. In that regard, it’s a bit curious that the Cheesecake Factory is giving away its cocktail secrets at a time when they’d presumably want people to drop by and pay for a drink or two.

But hey, if they’re going to show me how to make a tasty pineapple cocktail, I’m not going to not make it.
