Food recalls are issued when a product is deemed unsafe to eat. Tesco has shared a new food warning amid allergy fears.

Sau Tao (Sun Shun Fuk) ST Amoy Bean Strip

The noodle packs have been recalled as they contain soya which is not mentioned on the label.

This could cause a serious health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance.

The product has been sold at Tesco, although it is temporarily unavailable.

Anyone who has purchased the food and has an allergy or intolerance should not consume it.

Instead, the item can be returned to stores for a full refund.

A warning has been shared by the manufacturer with more information.

It said: “Linroy B.V. is recalling 252130 ST Amoy Bean Strip due to the presence of the allergen soybean in the product, which is not declared on the label.

“Do not consume the product if you are allergic to soybean and bring it back to the point of sale where you will be refunded.”
