Raisin Bran Crunch Adds Almonds, Gets Crunchier

Remember back when Raisin Bran was just a boring, soggy pile of bran and raisins? It feels like a lifetime ago, honestly. Over the years, the portfolio has expanded to include Raisin Bran Crunch, which did away with the sogginess of the classic edition, mixing in a proliferation of other flavors as well. But now, Raisin Bran Crunch is about to get… even crunchier.

That’s thanks to the introduction of Raisin Bran Crunch Vanilla Almond, the latest addition to the expanding lineup of Kellogg’s cereals and the first in the Raisin Bran family to include nuts.  As its name implies, this edition is all about texture: crispy bran flakes pair with (it has to be said) crunchy almonds to create a cereal that won’t wilt under the kind of liquid pressure that would turn other cereals into a soggy bowl of sadness. There’s also vanilla in it too, if that’s your thing.

From the sound of it, beefing up the texture to make Raisin Bran Crunch crunch even harder seems to be the goal. “We know Raisin Bran Crunch® fans love the mix of textures in every bite,”  Brad Schwan, Senior Marketing Director for Kellogg’s Ready To Eat Cereal, said in a press release. “Our new Vanilla Almond flavor adds an extra layer by marrying the crisp smoothness of almond slivers with vanilla flavor.”

On top of all that, Kellogg’s describes the cereal as a “good source of fiber along with 16 grams of whole grains.” And don’t worry about raisins: your old pals will be there too.

Raisin Bran Crunch Vanilla Almond should be available at most of the places you buy your cereal starting in June. Go forth and crunch.
