This Cup Is A Karaoke Singer's Perfect Drinking Vessel

It’s getting to be music festival season—South by Southwest is next week, Coachella takes over the California dessert for two weekends in April and from then on, interestingly dressed hipsters will be occupying fields all over the country for the rest of the summer. And what is the worst part of any music festival? No, it’s not the oppressive heat, or the lack of bathrooms, or the $14 beers. The worst part of any festival is when the thousands of people there are singing along to the newest Miike Snow song and you’re left standing silently in front of the stage—looking ridiculous. For you, there is the Copoke. A cup that not only holds your $14 beer, but displays the song lyrics you need, in real time.

The cup was made by Brazil’s Brahma Beer Company for use in its own music festival, and as you can see from the video above (in Portuguese), it worked wonders for those who had it. Not only did it display lyrics, it also acted as a festival scheduler, alerting drinkers when their band of choice was getting ready to go on.

Sadly, the cup doesn’t look like it’s coming to the northern hemisphere, but Brahama should really consider exporting it. Obviously the crunchy campers at Bonaroo could use it, but just imagine how useful this would be on karaoke night? Getting reminded of the lyrics while you’re drinking? It’s a bad crooner’s dream true.
